Terms and Conditions of Online Purchases

Our online busines

  • Inspecting items during an auction: Unless specifically stated this option will not be available, as items are NOT stored in our shop in Glebe. Inspection usually occurs for 2nd-hand bikes only.
  • We do not specifically order items for customers. Everything we have listed in our store is what we have for sale on-line, we like to constantly update and expand our range of stock, so keep your eyes peeled. We're happy to receive suggestions of what to sell and have taken customer advice from time to time on certain product lines, but don't automatically expect this to occur.

Product Warranty

  • We only sell products sourced from authorised Australian importers, so any item you buy WILL be covered by manufacturer's warranty, subject to normal warranty provisions.

Communication

  • All communication is to be via email. eBay is an online medium so that's how all communication will be handled. We are only able to offer low prices by streamlining our systems, dealing with people by telephone or fax increases our cost base in terms of time and cost. We usually monitor email several times a day.
  • QUESTIONS: We're happy to answer most questions concerning the items we sell. If your question relates to information already included in the listing, you will be referred back to the listing. We do not provide advice as to the application of the items we sell (eg "I've got a Giant OCR3, will this chain fit my bike?" - such a question falls under the banner of advice, which we do not provide online). Manufacturer's websites, online forums and google searches usually uncover a wealth of information, so you should rely on your own inquiries. We ARE happy to answer questions concerning the specifications of the product, eg condition, dimensions, weight, model number etc.
  • When emailing, please use eBay messaging, it's more secure than regular email and eBay gets to see a copy so it will help you in the unlikely event of a dispute.
  • If you're after bike advice generally, come into our shop at 151 Glebe Point Road, Glebe in Sydney and the staff will be more than happy to help.

Payment

  • If you'd like pre-paid pick-up feel free to adjust the invoice yourself to deduct the courier cost (see further details below).
  • Payment is by PayPal only

Delivery

  • We ONLY deliver by Express Post
  • Combining Postage: We're happy to combine as many items as possible. So please wait for an invoice if you're purchasing multiple items. Combining postage can save you a lot of money when buying multiple items from us. We are however limited by the physical dimensions of the items you buy and their weight when combining postage. We will automatically combine postage, unless you pay us before we issue you with an invoice.

Local Prepaid Pick-up

  • All our eBay items (except those listed in classified ads) are NOT stored in our Glebe shop, but in a nearby warehouse. You will have to notify us if you would like local pick-up.
  • Items are not moved from our warehouse to our Glebe shop until payment has been received.
  • We do not do COD or payment on pick-up.
  • The process for local pre-paid pick-up is as follows:
      1. Pay for your item by PayPal only.
      2. If your invoice includes a postage amount you can give yourself a discount equal to the postage amount, so it equals $0.
      3. WAIT until we advise you of the date and time your item will be ready for pick-up (usually 24 hours from receipt of payment);
      4. Once advised your item is ready to pick-up, come into the shop (Inner City Cycles, 151 Glebe Point Road, Glebe, NSW) during our normal business hours and let the helpful shop staff know that you're there to pick-up an eBay item, the name of the eBay account holder and what the item was.
      5. Items not picked up after 3 months of sale will incur a storage charge equal to their sale/auction price
    • Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri: 9.30am to 6pm Thu: 9.30am to 8pm Sat: 9.00am to 4pm Sun: 11am to 3pm

    Feedback

    • Negative feedback never solves problems. Once feedback is left it cannot be changed. Let us know if you are concerned with an issue and we'll do our best to resolve it. From time to time we ban customers who have either been abusive or where we clearly don't see eye-to-eye on certain matters. Being banned just means you cannot buy from us again, but does not effect your feeback rating or dealings with other eBayers - don't take this personally, you can't expect to get on with everybody in this world. We are NOT in the business of ripping anybody off.
